Shilfa is a spacious 3 bedroom beach house with large verandah, only a stone’s throw from the beautiful Carrick shore.
Birdlife abounds (“Shilfa” means chaffinch). This house is well furnished as our second home and not purely as a holiday house – it has original art on the walls.

It is a haven in an area of unspoilt natural beauty. Shilfa has been extended and extensively refurbished in 2022.
Summer or Winter this well insulated cedar house is sheer luxury by the shore. One visit is rarely enough.

  • Wonderfully spacious living room ( 15’ x 21’6”) with patio doors opening to verandah looking towards the setting sun.
  • Open plan well fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, tall larder fridge, separate freezer , generous storage and work surfaces.
  • 2 Double bedrooms both with fitted wardrobes.
  • 1 Twin bedded room with fitted wardrobe.
  • Bathroom with bath, separate shower, w.c. and w.h. basin.
  • New shower room with w.c. and w.h.basin.
  • USB points in all bedrooms and in Kitchen.
  • Washing machine, and ironing facilities. Outdoor clothes line.
  • 43” TV with freesat, DVD player, CD stereo unit /radio, WiFi internet.
  • Electric heating throughout.
  • Lockable garden shed for bikes.
  • Extensive grounds , patio and secret pathways.
  • Sorry, NO PETS.
  • NO SMOKING inside the property

General

Electricity: Prices are inclusive of electricity
Linen: Prices include bedlinen – £20 reduction if you bring your own
Personal Towels: Guests are asked to bring their own. 3 small hand towels + T-towels will be provided for guests during their stay
Cot + High chair: No charge for provision of these but guests to provide cot bedding
Booking: A deposit of £150 is due on booking with the balance falling due 4 weeks before arrival. Payment of deposit + balance is by cheque or bank transfer. Details provided on booking.
Cancellation: Should you cancel your booking after one or two payments have been made, this will be refunded if booking is reallocated to another customer. Where this is not possible the payments will be non refundable.
Occupancy: Max.of 6 ( plus a baby)
Arrival & Departure: Arrival is expected from 4.00pm onwards. Please depart by 10.00am prompt.
