SHILFA, CARRICK SHORE,
GATEHOUSE OF FLEET.
From Kirkcudbright:
Follow the signs for Borgue along the western side of Kirkcudbright Bay. At Borgue, turn left and follow road for 3 miles and take left turning into Carrick. Shilfa is on the right and the name is on the gable.
From Gatehouse:
On the A75 at Gatehouse, follow road signed Sandgreen & Cream o' Galloway. After Boreland of Girthon Farm, where the road takes a sharp right hand bend, go straight on into the unmade road. Take to the right where the road divides. Shilfa is the second house on the left and has its name on the gable end.
